Meal Plan Monday, Fall Menu Plan - Frugal Family Home

Meal Plan Monday, Fall Menu Plan - Frugal Family Home

Happy Monday to you! I hope this week is starting out well and you have your meals planned for this week.

Having a meal plan can help you save money by not eating out. It can save you time because you’re not running to the store for an ingredient you need.

Don’t have your plan done yet? Scroll down to see what’s cooking at our house this week.

Menu plan with recipe links

We’ll be enjoying soup twice this week. I’ll be making an easy and frugal batch of hamburger soup. At $.50 a serving, it’s hard to beat, plus we will have enough leftovers for at least two lunches.

Chicken pot pie soup is our second soup this week. I use pre-cooked chicken I’ve prepared for the freezer to make it easier to make. It’s a yummy way to enjoy pot pie in soup form. It’s so good.

We haven’t had my great grandma’s recipe for pork chops in a while. Since I picked up a pork loin at Costco and cut it into a bunch of pork chops, it’s a good time to enjoy this meal again.

I’ll be roasting potatoes alongside the pork chops for a quick baked meal.

You might also notice we’ll be having a salad for a side dish most nights this week. I prep everything for the week and so making a salad is simple to see how you can prep ahead salad for the week so you can eat more salads too.

What’s cooking at your house this week?

I love how easy these cinnamon twist scones are to make. They are as easy to mix up as biscuits, but turn out looking so fancy. Great for breakfast or brunch when company is coming over. They are also a frugal breakfast recipe costing only $.10 each. My family gobbles these up every time I made them.

Toast with Eggs

Pancakes, Eggs, and Sausage
